2009年圣诞节期间，G8会议将在意大利罗马召开。为了迎接即将到来的外务大臣川越亘（平田满 饰），日本大使馆上下一阵忙乱。与此同时，特立独行、干练机敏的外交官黑田康介（织田裕二 饰）也被派到罗马，担当保卫和接待的工作。另一方面，单身母亲矢上纱江子（天海祐希 饰）带着女儿小圆重访意大利，结果女儿竟被匪徒绑架。在此期间，黑田和大使馆实习生安达香苗（户田惠梨香 饰）帮助纱江子翻译并寻找线索。为了避免匪徒怀疑，黑田自称是小圆的父亲，自顾自卷入这场绑架案中。G8会议越来越近，这起看似平常的绑架案却掀起巨大的波澜…… 本片为日本富士电视台50周年纪念作品。

Local cops are incapable to undertake an adequate action against the scoundrels - prevented by the superior chief of the local police (militia) which is the dad of one the scumbags. The case is closed. The girl's grand-dad tired of endless circumlocution decides to take revenge of his own.
